Good news for self-hosting vloggers: Dreamhost has licensed a Flash Media Player and now allows customers to embed audio or video into their web pages without third party hosting. Looks like they’ll convert your media to FLV format for you, too, by allowing you to upload your original format and then fill out a form which initiates transcoding and spits out some HTML for you to paste on your site. They recommend you delete your original video afterward, but real vloggers won’t do that. Instead they’ll provide multiple versions of their videos so their viewers have a choice!
