SuperHappyVlogHouse is ON
Holy Carp Caviar, Batman. I forgot to post about SuperHappyVlogHouse! Well you can get the event details and directions here. We’re taking a breather after going full swing this morning.
First, Chris Baker stopped by around 10:30 a.m. He shot some video but I never managed to get my camera out. We had great conversation and talked about collaborating on a documentary.
Then Mary turned up. She’s one of my vlogging students at Phoenix College. She had been up until all hours of the night creating a new blog for her friend Margaret who found out yesterday that she has four weeks to live due to severe leukemia. Margaret’s immune system is so compromised that she must limit visitors, and so Mary thought a blog would be a great way for friends and family to send love and support, and for Margaret to tell everyone how she’s doing if she feels so inclined. So Mary ran over to SuperHappyVlogHouse for a little tech support and RSS feed troubleshooting, and we got everything working. Check out what she made over at Pier344. She’ll be adding video at every opportunity. No one can tell me vlogging isn’t a powerful medium after today.

Cheryl,
When you put down Mary from your class had a friend named Margaret who has four weeks to live due to severe leukemia, I jumped to the conclusion that it was Margaret from OUR class to whom you were referring. I was relieved to be wrong, but I do wish the best to Mary’s other friend, Margaret from Pier344.
Best,
Shane
